Things I learned from Travelling with cousin Kathleen
- Having an open heart attracts the most interesting people
- Everyone has a story, listen to it, it could be the best part of your day
- Speak kindly, it doesn’t take any more effort but it works wonders
- Try some new things… maybe not oysters, but some new things
- Sing
- Hug
- Laugh
- Look for moments of grace, they are all around you but they only make a difference if you take note of them
- Everyone just wants to be accepted and/or appreciated
- Don’t judge a book by its cover, but if its a very heavy book, you don’t have to keep it…. LOL
- Everyone needs a little flashlight
- Be prepared, and carry your own stuff
- Going outside your comfort zone gains you a bigger comfort zone
- Say thank you
- Keep regular
- Take off your shoes
- Something good is going to happen, just wait for it
Thank you to my wonderful cousin “Nellie” for sharing these insights. Love and hugs from cousin Kathleen.
